Acts of the Apostles 2 describes the day of Pentecost, when Jesus' disciples received the Holy Spirit and began to speak of strange languages, attracting a multitude that was amazed. Peter then preached a powerful sermon, explaining that what was happening was the realization of the prophet of the prophet Joel over the last days. Ephesians 5:18: "Do not be drunk with wine, which leads to liberation, but let themselves be filled with the Spirit." Here Paul is encouraging Christians to be filled with the Holy Spirit rather than seeking satisfaction in worldly things.
