Psalms, 121

1. A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2. My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5. The LORD [is] thy keeper: the LORD [is] thy shade upon thy right hand.

6. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Verse im Zusammenhang mit Psalms, 121:

Psalm 121 is a song of trust in God, which is presented as the protector of his people. The psalmist seeks strength and protection in God, and recognizes that only he is able to offer security and help at difficult times. Following are five verses related to the topics covered in Psalm 121:

Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and our fortress, aid always present in adversity." This verse emphasizes that God is a safe place where we can seek refuge and protection in the midst of difficulties.

Psalm 91:2: "I say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, whom I trust." Here, the psalmist recognizes that God is his source of strength and security, and trusts him as his protector.

Isaiah 41:10: "Do not fear, because I am with you; do not haunt yourself, because I am your God; I strengthen you, and help you, and I support you with my faithful right hand." This verse reinforces the idea that God is our helper and sustainer, and that we can trust him in all circumstances.

Proverbs 18:10: "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs away to her and is safe." Here the name of God is compared to a strong tower where we can find security and protection.

Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not have anxious for anything; before all are your known requests before God for prayer and supplication with thanksgiving; and the peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, will keep your Hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. " This verse highlights the importance of trusting God in all situations, and seeking your help and peace through prayer.
