Ezekiel 8 describes the prophet's view of idolatry practiced in the temple of Jerusalem, including images of worship of pagan gods, sacrifices to idols, and other abominable practices. The following verses are related to this theme:
Deuteronomy 12:4 - "Thou shalt not do the Lord thy God." This verse refers to the prohibition of worship to other gods and the requirement to serve only the Lord. Ezekiel witnessed the violation of this prohibition in the temple of Jerusalem.
Exodus 20:3 - "You will not have other gods before me." This is the first commandment of the law given to Moses. Ezekiel witnessed the violation of this commandment in the temple of Jerusalem, where images of pagan gods were being worshiped.
Deuteronomy 5:8-9 - "Thou shalt make no image of sculpture to you, no resemblance of what is above in heaven, neither in the earth, nor in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not go to them nor serve them." These verses refer to the prohibition of making images of gods and adorning them. Ezekiel saw in the temple of Jerusalem the violation of this prohibition.
Isaiah 44:9-20 - These verses describe the foolishness of the worship of idols and sculpture images. Ezekiel saw this nonsense being practiced in the temple of Jerusalem and preached against her.
Jeremiah 7:9-11 - These verses denounce the false security that the people of Judah put in their temple, despite the idolatry and other abominations that were occurring there. Ezekiel also denounced the wrong confidence that the people placed in their temple and in their religious practices.
