20. For it has been written in the book of Psalms: ‘Let their dwelling place be desolate and may there be no one who dwells within it,’ and ‘Let another take his episcopate.’

Acts of Apostles 1 is the first chapter of the book that reports the events of the apostles after the rise of Jesus. In this chapter, it is narrated as Jesus appeared to the apostles after his resurrection, giving them instructions and promising baptism in the Holy Spirit. Shortly thereafter, he is elevated to the heavens before the disciples' eyes. The following verses were selected because they are related to the topics addressed in Acts of Apostles 1:
