Judges, 6

14. And the Lord looked down upon him, and he said: “Go forth with this, your strength, and you shall free Israel from the hand of Midian. Know that I have sent you.”

Judges 6 tells the story of Gideon, a young man who was called by God to lead the Israelites in the fight against the Midianites. 1 Samuel 17:45: "David said to the Philistine, 'You come against me with a sword, spear and dart, but I go against you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the hosts of Israel, whom you challenged. '"This verse speaks of the importance of trusting God in times of difficulty. David trusted God to defeat Goliath, and Gideon also trusted God to lead the Israelites against the Midianites. Both men believed that God was with them and could do great things through Him.
