34. Again she gave birth to a son and said, "This time my husband will be united to me because I have borne him three sons." That is why he was called Levi.

Genesis 29 reports Jacob's arrival in the land of Padon-wagon, where he finds his parentela and meets Rachel, who falls in love. He then works for seven years to marry her, but is deceived by Laban, who gives him Lia instead of Rachel. Jacob then works for another seven years to marry Rachel.
