Job, 13

Job chapter 13 is one of the most dramatic of the book, where Job responds to his friends who accuse him of having committed some sin that would justify his afflictions. Job defends his innocence and even accuses God of oppressing the righteous. The selected verses are related to topics such as justice, faith, redemption and hope in God:

Psalm 119:75: "I know, O Lord, that your judgments are righteous, and that with faithfulness afflicted me." This verse talks about God's righteousness and how he uses afflictions to teach and shape us.

Romans 5:3-5: "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, experience; and experience, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God was poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit given to us.
