Chapter 7 of Micah deals with the corruption of the people of Israel and the hope of redemption through the mercy of God. Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace you are saved, through faith; and this does not come from you, it is the gift of God. It does not come from the works, so that no one can glorious." This verse speaks of salvation by the grace of God, not for our own works or merits. This reminds us that redemption and forgiveness are gifts from God to his people, not something we can gain or deserve.
