38. 'You must repent,' Peter answered, 'and every one of you must be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts of the Apostles 2 describes the day of Pentecost, when Jesus' disciples received the Holy Spirit and began to speak of strange languages, attracting a multitude that was amazed. Ephesians 5:18: "Do not be drunk with wine, which leads to liberation, but let themselves be filled with the Spirit." Here Paul is encouraging Christians to be filled with the Holy Spirit rather than seeking satisfaction in worldly things.
