12. And the fourth Angel sounded the trumpet. And a third part of the sun, and a third part of the moon, and a third part of the stars were struck, in such a way that a third part of them was obscured. And a third part of the day did not shine, and similarly the night.
Revelation 8 describes the opening of the seventh seal and the beginning of the seven trumpets, which are divine judgments that bring destruction to the earth. Following are five Bible verses that relate to the topics addressed in Revelation 8:
Jeremiah 25:30-31: "I will therefore announce at high voices to all the peoples of the world:" The Lord comes to judge! He will judge all nations of the earth with justice, according to what they deserve. "This verse speaks of God's judgment on all nations, which is similar to the judgments described in Revelation 8.
