3. Her husband set out to visit her and speak to her heart to make her return to his home. He brought with him a servant and two asses. She welcomed him in the house of her father who was glad to see him.

Judges chapter 19 tells the shocking story of a Levite who, traveling with his concubine, decides to spend the night in the city of Gibéia, Benjamin. For he found it in the field; the deposited girl shouted, but there was no one to deliver her.
