9. These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God.

Matthew 24:37-39: "For as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be the coming of the Son of man. " This verse compares the flood with the second coming of Jesus, emphasizing the need to be prepared for judgment.

Genesis 9:11: "I establish my covenant with you: no creature will never be exterminated because of the waters of the flood; there will never be another flood to destroy the earth."
