12. The word of God is something alive and active: it cuts more incisively than any two-edged sword: it can seek out the place where soul is divided from spirit, or joints from marrow; it can pass judgement on secret emotions and thoughts.

James 4:16: "How do you know what will happen tomorrow? Your life is like the fog at dawn: it's a fleeting." This verse reminds us of the brevity of life and the importance of seeking God as we still have time, that we may enter God's rest through faith in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 11:6: "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because whoever approaches him must believe that He exists and that they reward those who seek Him." This verse highlights the importance of faith in God so that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence and receive mercy and grace in time of necessity.
