22. Then the LORD God said: "See! The man has become like one of us, knowing what is good and what is bad! Therefore, he must not be allowed to put out his hand to take fruit from the tree of life also, and thus eat of it and live forever."
Genesis 3 is the third chapter of the Bible and describes the fall of man in sin. He reports how the serpent tried to eat the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, how Eve gave Adam to eat, as God confronted the couple about sin and pronounced the curse over the serpent, the woman and Man, and how God expelled the man and woman from the garden of Eden. Romans 5:12: "Therefore, just as one man entered sin in the world, and by sin death, so death passed to all men, for all sinned." This verse relates to the fall of man in sin and highlights how sin and death entered the world through Adam, as described in Genesis 3.

Revelation 22:14: "Blessed are those who wash their garments in the blood of the Lamb, that they may be entitled to the tree of life, and can enter the city through the doors." This verse relates to the expulsion of man and woman from the garden of Eden, as described in Genesis 3, and highlights how we can have access to the tree of life through redemption by the blood of Jesus.
