20. Therefore, with all the people shouting, and the trumpets blaring, after the voice and the sound increased in the ears of the multitude, the walls promptly fell to ruin. And each one climbed up at the place which was opposite where he was. And they seized the city.
Joshua chapter 6 describes the fall of the walls of Jericho, one of the most famous biblical stories of conquest. God commanded the Israelites to march around the city for six days, with the priests touching trumpets and carrying the ark of the covenant. On the seventh day, after seven turns around the city, the people of Israel released a great cry, and the walls fell miraculously.
