The Book of Wisdom 3 talks about the lives of the righteous after death and how God welcomes them in His mercy. It is a chapter that brings comfort to those who suffer, stating that the end of the righteous is peace and eternal happiness. The chosen verses, in order of proximity to the themes of the chapter, are:
Isaiah 57:1-2: "The righteous perishes, and no one reflects on it in his heart; godly men are raptured, and no one understands that the righteous are raptured to be spared from evil. your beds. " The verse reinforces the idea that the righteous are spared evil and find peace after death.
Revelation 7:16-17: "They will never be hungry, they will never be thirsty again; the sun will not afflict them, nor any scorching heat. For the lamb on the throne will be their pastor; he will guide them to the sources of living water. And God will wipe away from his eyes every tear. " This excerpt from Revelation describes eternal life as a place of satiety, protection and comfort for the righteous.
John 14:2-3: "In my Father's house there are many rooms; if it wasn't so, I would have told them. You are where I am. " This passage of John 14 talks about Jesus' promise to prepare a place in heaven for those who follow him.
1 Corinthians 15:42-43: "So is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, but resurrected in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor but resurrected in glory. It is sown in weakness but resurrected in power." This stretch of 1 Corinthians describes the transformation of the body of the righteous after the resurrection.
Psalm 23:6: "Certainly goodness and mercy will follow me every day of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23 is a psalm of trust and hope in God's care, which leads the righteous to dwell with him forever.
