9. The Lord delayeth not his promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance.

Chapter 3 of 2 Peter deals with the return of Jesus Christ and the destruction of the world by fire. Peter urges Christians to live godly and eagerly await the return of Christ. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in the chapter:
