Ezekiel 14 talks about divine rebuke to the idolatrous leaders of Israel who sought guidance from the prophet while still kept their idols in their hearts. Jeremiah 7:9-10: "You make theft, homicides, adultery and false oaths, incense in incense to Baal, and walk after other gods you have never known. " This verse shows that many people in Israel were practicing sinful acts and still continued to seek God in their temple.
