17. It shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it [unto them for] their portion of my offerings made by fire; it [is] most holy, as [is] the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.

Leviticus 6:9: "Give order to Aaron and his children, saying, This is the Holocaust Law; it is the burnt burning holocaust over the altar all night until the morning, and the altar fire will burn in it." This verse is a continuation of the instructions for offering the Holocaust and indicates that it should be burned continuously on the altar, keeping the fire lit.

Leviticus 6:13: "The fire will continually burn on the altar; it will not go out." This verse emphasizes the importance of fire never erasing on the altar.

Leviticus 6:25: "Speak to Aaron and his children, saying, This is the law of sacrifice for sin: where the holocaust shall be sworn, the sacrifice for sin will be degolar before the Lord; it is a very holy thing."
