21. But truly, you should not believe them, for they would ambush him with more than forty men from among them, who have bound themselves by an oath neither to eat, nor to drink, until they have put him to death. And they are now prepared, hoping for an affirmation from you.”

Chapter 23 Acts of the Apostles narrates the continuation of the persecution suffered by Paul after his preaching in Jerusalem. He appears before the Sanhedrin and makes his defense, but is attacked by the Sadducees and needs to be protected by the Roman soldiers. Psalm 27:1: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom will I be afraid of? Is the Lord the refuge of my life; whom will I fear?" This psalm talks about trusting the Lord in the midst of difficult times and seeking refuge in it.

Jeremiah 1:8: "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to protect you," says the Lord. "This is a message of God's encouragement to Jeremiah, who called Him to be a prophet in difficult times.

Romans 8:28: "We know that God acts in all things for the good of those who love Him, of those who were called according to their purpose." This verse talks about how God can use all things, even the difficult ones, to fulfill His purpose in our lives.
