Deuteronomy, 31

17. And my fury will be enraged against them in that day. And I will abandon them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured. Every evil and affliction will find them, so much so that they will say in that day: ‘Truly, it is because God is not with me that these evils have found me.’

Deuteronomy 31 addresses the transition from Moses to Joshua and the importance of obedience to God's law. Joshua 1:7-8: "Only be strong and very brave to be careful to do according to the whole law that my servant Moses ordered you; it does not deviate from it, neither right nor left, so that you may be Successful wherever you walk. Do not depart from your mouth the book of this law, first meditate on him day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in Him; successful." Joshua is in charge of leading the people, and God commands him to be strong and brave and obey the law of Moses to succeed.

Joshua 23:6: "He thirsts hard to keep you and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, not turning to you to the right or left." Joshua reminds the people of the importance of obeying God's law and not deviating from it.

Psalm 119:165: "Great peace have those who love your law, and for them there is no stumble." Obedience to God's law brings peace and avoids sin.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust the Lord of all your heart, and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." Confidence in God and obedience to your law are important for guidance in life.

Romans 2:13: "For the simple listeners of the law are not righteous before God, but those who practice the law will be justified." Obedience to God's Law is important for justification before Him.
