34. And the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and touching the horns of the altar of holocaust, he shall pour out the remainder at its base.

This verse refers to the role of Jesus Christ as the Perfect High Priest, who made the definitive sacrifice for the sins of humanity, making the regular sacrifices described in Leviticus 4 unnecessary.
