18. Jacob had fallen in love with Rachel and he said, "I will work for you for seven years in return for your younger daughter, Rachel."

Genesis 29 reports Jacob's arrival in the land of Padon-wagon, where he finds his parentela and meets Rachel, who falls in love. He then works for seven years to marry her, but is deceived by Laban, who gives him Lia instead of Rachel. Jacob then works for another seven years to marry Rachel.
