13. As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance [was] like burning coals of fire, [and] like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
Ezekiel 1 is the first chapter of the book of Ezekiel, in which the prophet describes an impressive view of God's glory in a car of fire. The chapter includes many impressive details, such as the four living creatures, the wheels full of eyes, and the bright light that surrounded everything. Revelation 4:6-7: "And there was before the throne as a sea of glass, similar to the crystal. And in the middle of the throne, and around the throne, four animals full of eyes, on and behind. 1 Kings 22:19: "Then Micaiah said, Therefore he hears the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and the whole army of heaven was around him, his right hand and to his left." This verse presents a vision of Micaiah about the heavenly throne and the heavenly army present around the throne. This vision can be related to the vision Ezekiel had in the first chapter of his book, where he describes a view of the heavenly throne and living beings around him.
