Leviticus 6 presents specific instructions for the priesthood about the offering of sacrifices, the use of the altar and the manipulation of the ashes. The following verses are related to these themes:
Leviticus 6:9: "Give order to Aaron and his children, saying, This is the Holocaust Law; it is the burnt burning holocaust over the altar all night until the morning, and the altar fire will burn in it."
