5. "Moreover you know also what Jo'ab the son of Zeru'iah did to me, how he dealt with the two commanders of the armies of Israel, Abner the son of Ner, and Ama'sa the son of Jether, whom he murdered, avenging in time of peace blood which had been shed in war, and putting innocent blood upon the girdle about my loins, and upon the sandals on my feet.

Chapter 2 of 1 kings deals with the death of King David and the succession of the throne by Solomon, his son. In this chapter David gives Solomon instructions on how he must behave as King and also orders some of his enemies to be punished. Following are five Bible verses related to the topics addressed in 1 Kings 2.

Psalm 72:1: "O God, give the King your judgments, and your righteousness to the Son of the King." This psalm talks about justice that must be exercised by kings and how they must govern with equity. This is relevant to chapter 2 of 1 kings, where David instructs Solomon to rule with justice and punish those who deserve to be punished.

Proverbs 20:28: "Mercy and truth keep the king, and with mercy sustains his throne." This proverb talks about how mercy and truth are important for a king to maintain the power and respect of the people. This is related to Chapter 2 of 1 kings, where David instructs Solomon to be merciful to his allies and faithful servants.

Ecclesiastes 8:2: "Keep the king's commandment, and this because of God's oath." This verse talks about the importance of obeying the king, which was placed in power by God. This relates to Chapter 2 of 1 kings, where Solomon is placed on the throne by his father, David, and is ordered to rule with wisdom and justice.

Isaiah 11:3: and will delight in the fear of the Lord; and will not judge according to the view of his eyes, nor do he rebuke according to his ears. " This verse talks about the importance of a leader judging wisely and justice rather than relying only on his vision and hearing. This relates to Chapter 2 of 1 Kings, where David instructs Solomon to be wise in his decisions and to rule with justice.

Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." This verse talks about the importance of placing God first and seeking His righteousness rather than seeking our own desires. This relates to Chapter 2 of 1 kings, where Solomon is instructed to obey God's commandments and to rule with righteousness.
