Psalms, 147

1. Alleluia. Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem. Praise your God, O Zion.

2. For he has reinforced the bars of your gates. He has blessed your sons within you.

3. He has stationed peace at your borders, and he has satisfied you with the fat of the grain.

4. He sends forth his eloquence to the earth. His word runs swiftly.

5. He provides snow like wool. He strews clouds like ashes.

6. He sends his ice crystals like morsels. Who can stand firm before the face of his cold?

7. He will send forth his word, and it will melt them. His Spirit will breathe out, and the waters will flow.

8. He announces his word to Jacob, his justices and his judgments to Israel.

9. He has not done so much for every nation, and he has not made his judgments manifest to them. Alleluia.

Versi relativi a Psalms, 147:

Psalm 147 is a song of praise to God for His greatness and power, as well as their goodness to His people. The psalmist begins praising God for his restoration of Jerusalem and his care for the oppressed, and then exalts God's greatness in creation and control over the universe.

Isaiah 40:26: "Raise his eyes up and see. Who created these things? He who makes his army come out, calling them by his name; because he is great in strength and strong in power, none will miss. " This verse highlights God's greatness in creation and its power over the universe, themes that are also addressed in Psalm 147.

Psalm 104:14-15: "Grows the grass to animals and herbs to the service of man, to take the food out of the earth, and the wine that rejoices the heart of man, and the olive oil that makes it glow face, and the bread that strengthens the heart of man. Jeremiah 31:35: "Thus saith the Lord, who gives the sun for daylight and the fixed laws to the moon and the stars for the light of the night, who shakes the sea so that their waves will bump; the Lord of hosts is the your name."
