Revelation, 9

1. And the fifth Angel sounded the trumpet. And I saw upon the earth, a star that had fallen from heaven, and the key to the well of the abyss was given to him.

Revelation 9 describes the opening of the fifth and sixth seals, which results in the release of terrible pests on the earth. Matthew 24:21: "Then there will be great tribulation, as has never been from the beginning of the world so far, nor will there be." This verse describes the tribulation that will occur during the end of time, similar to what is described in the fifth seal of Revelation 9.
