3. The Lord thy God then will pass over before thee: he will destroy all these nations in thy sight, and thou shalt possess them: and this Josue shall go over before thee, as the Lord hath spoken.

Deuteronomy 31 addresses the transition from Moses to Joshua and the importance of obedience to God's law. Psalm 119:165: "Great peace have those who love your law, and for them there is no stumble." Obedience to God's law brings peace and avoids sin.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust the Lord of all your heart, and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." Confidence in God and obedience to your law are important for guidance in life.
