5. And every firstborn in the land of the Egyptians shall die, from the firstborn of Pharao who sitteth on his throne, even to the first born of the handmaid that is at the mill, and all the firstborn of beasts.

In Exodus 11, God announces the last plague that will be launched upon Egypt, the death of all the firstborn. Moses communicates this to Pharaoh and the Egyptian nation. Here are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:

Psalm 105:36: "He wounded all the firstborn in Egypt, the firstfruits of their strength in the dog tents." This psalm recalls God's actions during the liberation of the people of Israel from Egypt, including the death of the firstborn.

Exodus 12:12: "That night I will pass through Egypt and kill all the firstborn, both men and animals, and execute judgment upon all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord." This verse is a continuation of the last plague that will be launched over Egypt.

Numbers 3:12-13: "I took all the firstborn of the sons of Israel to me, both men and animals; the day I hurt every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I separated them to me. Hebrews 11:28: "By faith he celebrated the Easter and applied the blood, so that the destroyer would not touch the firstborn of the Israelites." This verse highlights the importance of the celebration of Easter and the application of the blood of the lamb to protect the firstborn of the children of Israel from the last plague in Egypt.
