Judges 9 tells the story of Abimelech, son of Gideon, who conspires to become king of Israel killing his seventy brothers. This verse is a prophecy about the future king of Israel, who would come from the tribe of Judah. Abimelech, however, was not a descendant of Judah, and therefore his rise to the throne was not in accordance with this prophecy.

A superior officer observes all this; and who is superior to him observes them. " This verse talks about the importance of justice and equity in governance. Abimelech, as a leader, failed to rule with justice and equity, which led to his fall.
