16. Jacob’s portion is not like their portion. For his portion is from the One who formed all things. And Israel is the staff of his inheritance. The Lord of hosts is his name.

Jeremiah 10 is a chapter that deals with the sin of idolatry and the warning of the prophet to the people of Judah to move away from these practices and return to the true God. The verses selected below deal with this theme:

" This psalm describes the futility of idols, which are works at the hands of men and have no power or life.
