8. And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What [shall be] the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

Chapter 20 of 2 kings relates the story of Hezekiah, king of Judah, who badly gets sick. Isaiah 38:1: "In those days, Hezekiah became sick and almost died. The prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, went to him and said, 'Thus saith the Lord, Give your family orders, because you will die; will not recover '. " This verse introduces the theme of Hezekiah's disease and God's intervention through the prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah 38:18-19: "For it is not the sheol who praises you, nor the death that exalts you; it is not among those who descend to the grave that is expected in your faithfulness. " This verse shows the attitude of Hezekiah after his healing, which was praising God for his mercy and faithfulness.
