2 Chronicles, 28

1. Ahaz was twenty years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem. He did not do what is right in the sight of the Lord, as his father David did.

" This verse talks about how evil and apostasy have bitter consequences. Ahaz reaped the fruits of his disobedience and lack of fear to the Lord.

Hosea 8:7: "For they have sown winds, and will searches storm; This verse talks about how those who plant seeds of evil will harvest the storm. Ahaz planted seeds of idolatry and alliances with pagan nations, and this resulted in torment to his people.
