11. The pelican and the hedgehog will possess it. And the ibis and the raven will live in it. And a measuring line will be extended over it, so that it may be reduced to nothing, and a plumb line, unto desolation.

Amos 1:11: "Thus saith the Lord, by three transgressions of Edom, and for four I will not remove the punishment, because he persecuted with sword to his brother, and violated his bowels; your outrage forever. " Amos denounces Edom for his cruelty and violence against the people of Israel, and prophesies that God will judge them for their sins.
