9. For she put away from herself the garments of widowhood, and she clothed herself with the garments of rejoicing, for the sake of the exultation of the sons of Israel.

Judite 16 narrates Judite's singing after his victory over General Assyrian Holofernes. She thanks God for giving her strength and courage to overcome the enemy of her people. The following verses are related to gratitude and praise to God for their help and protection.
