27. As Scripture says: God has subjected everything under his feet. When we say that everything is put under his feet, we exclude, of course, the Father who subjects everything to him.

We will be snatched together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. " This verse speaks of the resurrection of the dead in Christ, preceding the rapture of the faithful to be with the Lord forever.

Revelation 21:4: "He shall wipe all tear from his eyes, and there will be no death, no weeping, no cry, no pain, because the first things are passed." This verse talks about eternal life in which there will be no more death, sadness or pain, but the joy and peace that derive from the victory over the death achieved by the resurrection of Christ.
