27. The Israelites were also mustered and they set out against the Arameans. As they encamped, the Israelites looked like two little herds of goats, whereas the Arameans filled the countryside.

In 1 Kings 20, King Ben-Hadade of Syria and his army surround and attack Samaria, the capital of the kingdom of Israel. 1 Kings 20:48: "He [Ben-Hand] lived hidden with the king of Israel for a while." The fact that Ben-Hadade has been spared leaves evidently the problem of the king to deal with the issue of Israel's enemies. This makes room for a new battle in the future.

1 Kings 20:28-29: "Then the man of God approached the king of Israel and said, Thus saith the Lord, For the Syrians said, The Lord is a God of the mountains, but it is not a god of the plains, I, I I will deliver all this great army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord. They will be aware that I am the Lord. " The main message of the passage is the certainty of Israel's victory in the name of God, showing that it does not matter the enemy's strength or strategy, God is more powerful.
