18. Then the king returned to his palace and spent a sleepless night, refusing food and entertainment.

Daniel 6 is the chapter that narrates Daniel's story in the lions' pit. King Darius had decreed that no one could pray to any God or man other than himself, but Daniel disobeyed this order and continued to pray to God as usual.
