11. And Amasias taking courage led forth his people, and went to the vale of saltpits, and slew of the children of Seir ten thousand.

Chapter 25 of 2 Chronicles tells the story of Amaziah, king of Judah, and his war against Edom. He hired Israeli soldiers to help him, but a prophet warned him that God was not with them.
