This verse speaks of how our struggle is not just physical but spiritual. In Genesis 14, we see a physical battle, but also a spiritual battle, with God guiding Abram to victory.
1 Peter 5:8: "Be sober and vigilant. The devil, your enemy, is around like a lion, looking for someone to devour." This verse speaks of how we should be alert against the enemy's attacks. In Genesis 14, we see that Lot was captured because he was not vigilant against his enemies.
2 Corinthians 10:4: "For the weapons of our war are not carnal, but powerful in God for the destruction of fortresses." This verse speaks of how our weapons are spiritual, and how we should trust God to help us in battle. In Genesis 14, we see that Abram trusted God to guide him in battle and secure his victory.
