Zechariah, 1

4. Be not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have cried, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Turn ye from your evil ways, and from your wicked thoughts: but they did not give ear, neither did they hearken to me, saith the Lord.

" This verse shows how Zechariah's message about the need for repentance and obedience is in harmony with the prophecies of other prophets, such as Jeremiah, who predicted the exile and punishment of Judah and Babylon.

Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans of peace and not evil, to give them a future and hope." This verse shows how Zechariah's message about the restoration and renewal of God's people is in harmony with his promise that he has plans of peace and a future and hope for his people.
