Deuteronomy, 21

15. If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, [both] the beloved and the hated; and [if] the firstborn son be hers that was hated:

Leviticus 24:17-18: "He who kills any man will surely be killed. And he who kills an animal shall restore; but he who kills a man will be killed." Proverbs 13:24: "What makes no use of the stick hates his son, but what he loves, disciplines him early on." If a son were disobedient and rebellious, his parents should take him to the city's leaders to punish him.
