8. For she put off the garment of her widowhood for the exaltation of those that were oppressed in Israel, and anointed her face with ointment, and bound her hair in a tire, and took a linen garment to deceive him.

Judite 16 narrates Judite's singing after his victory over General Assyrian Holofernes. She thanks God for giving her strength and courage to overcome the enemy of her people. The following verses are related to gratitude and praise to God for their help and protection.

Isaiah 25:1: "O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have done wonderful things; your ancient advice are true and firmness." This verse expresses the worship of God for His wonderful works and their perfect plans.

2 Samuel 22:47: "Long live the Lord, my rock! Blessed be my God, the rock of my salvation!" This verse shows confidence in God as the source of salvation and strength in difficult times.
