Psalm 51:16-17: "For you do not delete you in sacrifices; otherwise I would bring them; in holocausts you do not please you. The sacrifices that please God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise . " This verse relates to the idea of Psalm 50 that God does not need the sacrifices, but of sincere and repentant hearts.
Isaiah 1:11: "What does the large numbers of his sacrifices care?" Says the Lord. "I am already fed up with the holocausts of sheep and fat from fat steers.
