St. Matthew 19 presents Jesus' teachings of divorce, wealth and salvation. Jesus talks about how divorce was not in God's original plans, how difficult it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven, and how to follow Jesus requires sacrifices and renunciations. Matthew 19:21: "Jesus said to Him, 'If you want to be perfect, go, sell your goods, give it to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven; then come and follow me.'"
