35. Every single word that Moses had commanded, Joshua read aloud to the entire community, including the women and children, and the strangers who had accompanied Israel.

Deuteronomy 7:2: "And when the Lord thy God has delivered, and wounds, thou shalt destroy them; thou shalt not with them covenant, nor have mercy on them."
