29. Otherwise, what will those who are being baptized for the dead do, if the dead do not rise again at all? Why then are they being baptized for them?

" This verse speaks of the resurrection of the dead in Christ, preceding the rapture of the faithful to be with the Lord forever.

Revelation 21:4: "He shall wipe all tear from his eyes, and there will be no death, no weeping, no cry, no pain, because the first things are passed." This verse talks about eternal life in which there will be no more death, sadness or pain, but the joy and peace that derive from the victory over the death achieved by the resurrection of Christ.
