Jeremiah 36 narrates the time when the Lord commanded Jeremiah to write all the words He had spoken against Israel and Judah in a roll and read it aloud to the people in the temple. Hebrews 4:12: "For the Word of God is alive and effective, and more sharply than any two -edged sword, and penetrates to the division of soul and spirit, and from joints and marrows, and is able to discern thoughts, and heart intentions. " The roll with the words of God was powerful and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the hearts of the people.

John 8:32: "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." The people needed to know the truth of God's words to be released.

1 Peter 1:25: "But the word of the Lord remains forever. And this is the word that was evangelized among you." God's words are eternal and remain forever, and must be proclaimed to all.
