9. Shall I not visit against these things, says the Lord? And shall my soul not take vengeance on a nation such as this?

Jeremiah 2:11: "Did you change any nation to their gods, even if they were not gods? But my people exchanged their glory for what is of no use." This verse highlights the idolatry of the people of Judah, who has abandoned the true God to worship worthless idols.
